IDENTIFY YOUR BIKE/PART
For spare part or tuning parts ordering, this is probably the most important
section.
We endevour to send you the correct parts for your bike first time around,
but there are so many variations & model changes that it is very easy to get it
wrong.
To help you identify your bike & part, please read the following and provide
us with the following information when ordering any part
In some cases even this information is not enough so we may as you to send
the original part as a pattern. Also, on older bikes, modification & tuning may
make identifying parts difficult.
Wherever possible get all the info you can. Generally speaking, if it’s a
European made kid’s bike, it’s worth giving us a ring or e-mailing a picture.
ENGINE MANUFACTURER
The engine is the heart of the bike, and does the most work, it is often the
part requiring the most spares. Engines are often marked with the manufacturer's
name and model (e.g. “FM” = Franco Morini), sometimes this can be on the inside
of the cases, frequently on the con rod. Wherever possible quote a
manufacturer’s name & model number. For bikes where the make & model or age
is not known, follow this simple guide to identify your engine
If geared, how many gears has it, and what
is the make?
